The 8Oth anniversary of choral conducting department
On April, 25-27th, 2014
CONDITIONS OF THE COMPETITION
Young conductors and students of choral music departments of universities of the Republic of Belarus and other countries from 17 to 27 years inclusive can take part in the competition.
For participation in the competition it is necessary to send not later on March, 31st 2014 in Organizing Committee of competition to e-mail choirbgam@gmail.com:
1. The application in the required form
2. The free form creative biography in Russian, Belarusian or English languages;
3.Colour photo in a format jpeg not less than 1 Mb;
4. The unedited video recording of work with a choir (3-7 minutes);
5. The recommendation of the teacher(the tutor) .
Reception of the applications, their primary consideration and selection of candidates are realized by the Organizing Committee of the competition and it defines the conformity of submitted applications to conditions of the competition.
Invitations will be sent by e-mail to competitors personally not later on April, 7th, 2014. The list of competitors will be published on websites www.bgam.edu.by and www.choirbgam.by not later on April, 7th, 2014.
Payment of all expenses connected with staying at the competition (round trip, hotel accommodation, daily allowances), are made by participants themselves or by their directing organizations.
Sizing up takes place at final session of jury. Decisions of jury are final and not a subject to revision.
To the winners of the competition following premiums are established:
- To the laureate and the owner of the diploma of I degree – 400 US dollars;
- To the laureate and the owner of the diploma of II degree – 300 US dollars;
- To the laureate and the owner of the diploma of III degree – 100 US dollars.
We invite state and public organizations, mass media, establishment, the creative unions,
Private persons to establish special prizes for participants of competition.
THE PROGRAM OF THE COMPETITION
The FIRST ROUND – work with a student’s choir above one work within 10 minutes.
Compositions are got out by means of a lot.

3. The Ukrainian national song in arr. R Tolmachyov “Polechko-pole”
4. The Lithuanian national song in arr. G.Svilainisa « Sodai, sodai, leliumoi »
The SECOND ROUND – work with student’s choir above three works.
Compositions are got out by means of a lot from groups A, B, C. For each participant – 25 minutes.

The THIRD ROUND – work with a student’s choir above two works from the competitive program of the participant and their compulsory concert performance. Operating time – 15 minutes. Concert performance of works occurs upon termination of an operating time.
Competitive listenings are spent publicly and consist of three rounds in which the participants of the competition show their work with a choir.
No more than half of participants of the first round will be admitted to the second round, to the third – no more than five will be admitted.
Order of the performances at the competition and a choice of works for work with a choir are defined by a toss-up. Student’s choir of BGAM takes part in the listening.
