Concert of memory of the teacher V.V.Rovdo

VICTOR ROVDO (1921-2007) was born on November, 10/23th, 1921 in Smorgon, in 1939 he graduated Vilensky Theological seminary. In 1945 V.Rovdo began his study in the Lithuanian State Conservatory on choral conducting department. At the same time he studied medicine in the Vilnius state university on medical department. Then there was a postgraduate study the Moscow conservatory under the direction of outstanding conductor A.V.Sveshnikov. From 1952 V.Rovdo was a choirmaster of the State Academic Choir of the USSR under the direction of A.V.Sveshnikov. From 1956 he was the choirmaster of the State Academic Choral Capella of Belarus under the direction of G.R.Shirma, simultaneously he taught at the Belarus State Conservatory of name of A.V.Lunacharski (from 1963 – the chief of the Choral-Conducting Chair). From 1965 – the artistic director and chief conductor of the Academic Choir of Belarus TV and Radio Company.
For exclusive merits in the sphere of arts Victor Rovdo was awarded with the order of F.Skorina, and his high spiritual mission is noted by a rank of the winner of the award «For spiritual revival» and many awards from Orthodox church.
RUDNEVSKIY ALEXEY (1961). In 1980 has ended the Moscow choral school (the art director of prof. A.V.Sveshnikov); in 1985 – the Moscow conservatory name of P.I.Chaykovskiy (a class of prof. S.S.Kalinin); in 1996 – postgraduate study of the Moscow conservatory (the head – of prof. B.G.Tevlin).
In 1987-2004 – the chorus master and the conductor of the State Moscow chorus under the direction of A.Kozhevnikov with whom has prepared a number of programs of domestic and foreign music, including dedicated to S.V.Smolenskiy, N.M.Danilin, P.G.Chesnokov, N.S.Golovanov, etc. In 2000 on ХIХ the International festival of church music in Hajnuvka (Poland) the State Moscow chorus under the direction of A.Rudnevskiy has been awarded the higher award (1 award) in a category of the professional mixed choruses.
Since 1998 A.Rudnevskiy is also the assistant to the regent of Chorus of the Farmstead Piously-Troitsk Sergiev of Monastery in Moscow, regularly supervising over collective behind Divine service.
Since 1994 teaches in the Moscow conservatory on chair of choral conducting, where since 2009 – the professor. In 2008 it is appointed by the dean on work with foreign pupils.
Since 2006 the head of course chorus, since 2007 the assistant and the chorus master of Chorus of students of conservatory.
As conductor A.Rudnevskiy acts with various domestic and foreign choral collectives, gives a master class, «Cyril and Mefody» (Moscow) heads jury of Choral festival.
Associate professor INESSA BODYAKO is the art director of student’s chorus, teaches choral conducting and the history of Russian choral music in Belarusian State Academy of music.
She was a chorus master of the Academic chorus of National television and radio broadcasting company of Republic of Belarus, founder and conductor of Chamber chorus “Cantemus” becoming the prize-winner of the international choral competitions in Italy ( Arezzo , Gorizia), Spain (Tolosa), Poland (Hajnowka), Belarus ( Minsk ). At two international competitions Inessa has been recognised by “the best conductor”, in three – choirs under her management won the higher award – Gran-Prix of competition (Minsk, Gorizia, St-Peterburg).
Inessa was the juror of many republican and international competitions, gave master classes in Germany, France, was responsible for a great number of choral projects in Belarus including Open Conductor’s competition named after V. Rovdo, Choral pages of the XX-th century, female chorus “Charouniya lilei”. From 1997 up to now she is a regent of the Orthodox Christmas church (Minsk).
