Open competition of choral conductors of a name of the national actor of the USSR, professor V.V. Rovdo is organised by formation establishment «Belarus state academy of music» and chair of choral conducting to the chair 75 anniversary in 2009. Competition became considerable event in cultural life BSAM, has collected a considerable quantity of listeners – professionals and fans of choral music, has caused a keen interest from outside mass media.
Competition is planned to spend time in two years. We dare to hope that the subsequent competitions become continuation of the begun tradition in opening of new names and development of national choral art in the field of modern formation of conductors-chorus masters.
