
The Belarus State Academy of Music presents the Choral Academy 2011 held from 21 – 28 of November 2011. This Academy is a modern forum for the education and development of conductors and choirmasters, with the vision to further develop our national choral art.
The sessions are as follows:
– 11.23.2011 at 4pm – Lecture
Ra iner Held (Switzerland) will speak about the contemporary choral culture of Switzerland.
– 11.23.2011 at 7pm – Vocal Concert (concert hall of Belarus State Academy
of Music)
Liliana Glanzmann (Switzerland) mezzo-soprano, Tatiana Loisha (Belarus) piano
– 11.25.2011 at 7pm – Concert (in big hall of the Philharmonic Society)
The concert “In Memory of the Academy’s Teachers” includes: The Choir of the Belarus State Academy of Music, The Academic Choir of National television and radio broadcasting company of Republic of Belarus, The Choir of BelarusOpera and ballet theater , and The ‘Young Belarus’ Orchestra of Belarus State Academy of Music.

2 Open competition for choir conductors to honor the 90 anniversary of the national conductor of the USSR, professor Victor Rovdo.
The Choral Academy project will be a special event in the musical and cultural life of our institution, not only to continue our great choral tradition but also to train new conductors. The Academy will also connect hundreds of lovers of classical music and professionals with the unique world of the choral art. The Choral Academy 2011 will be a dialogue between Belorussian and Swiss cultures, and allow us to form a strong relationship on which to build future projects.
